Houston is safe and you can totally feel safe walking around after a game and there is plenty of police officers walking and driving around after a game. The fans are also pretty friendly and no one really gets too rowdy during the game.

The area by the stadium is totally safe and has plenty of mini malls, restaurants, and people around. I wouldn't walk around at midnight but during the day and after a game is completely fine.

Around the Toyota Center you are completely safe. There is thousands of people around you, everybody doing there own thing. The area itself is safe anway.
