How do I get to Goodison Park?

Goodison Park is a venue in or near Liverpool that is most often used for Soccer

Getting to Goodison Park is relatively simple on match days as there is a shuttle bus from Sandhills Rail Station, just north of Liverpool City Center that take you straight to the grounds. If you are looking to get a train, Lime Street Railway station is the closest and only 2 and a half miles away from the station and walking should only take 30-40 minutes which is a cheaper alternative on a nice day or in the summer.Alternatively you can get the 19/19A or 20/21 bus opposite Lime Street station which take you to the grounds. Taxi options are available and are approximately £6-£9 for the journey from the city center (although it's cheaper if you share and split it between you.)Liverpool Central Station is the railway station for those travelling regionally or nationally and from there you can change to either Kirkdale or Lime Street station which will get you close to the grounds.

Goodison Park is very near to Liverpool city center and as such public transport to the ground is convenient and very affordable. From Liverpool Lime Street you can take a train to Sandhills Station and from there catch the 'Soccerbus' shuttle directly to Goodison. If you ask at the train station you can book for Soccerbus ticket in advance and get a return ticket for just £1.60 extra. Across the street from Lime Street Station is the popular St Johns Lane bus stop where you can catch the 919 bus direct to the ground for just £2 each way. Both of these services begin 2 hours before kickoff and end 50 minutes after the final whistle. You can also take a taxi from the city center to the stadium for around £8.

The train can take you from the city centre (Lime Street) to Kirkdale, 20 minutes' walk from the venue. Personally, bus is my favourite option: less than 2 quid (pounds) each way, you can get the 19, 19a, 20, 21, or the 311 from the main bus station which takes around 20 minutes. You can also get a taxi for about £10-12 which is a great option if there are a few of you. It's very easy to get to, and you can even walk the 2.5 miles from town if you're keen!
