What to expect from the Craven Cottage crowd?

Craven Cottage is a venue in or near London that is most often used for Soccer

The away supporters are mixed into The Putney End stand and this is the only stand that allows away supporters at all but the atmosphere is normally noisy and buzzing in this friendly atmosphere with plenty of banter. However, it is important to note that there is an outdated rivalry between Fulham and Gillingham that although haven't played in the same league for 11 years it still runs strong in many of the older fans so avoiding those colors and kit on matchday is probably wise (it's probably not considered dangerous nowadays but rather be safe than sorry). One of the easiest places to purchase gear or kit from is the online shop on the Fulham website so that you are ready for match day but if you are looking for a memento then there are plenty of stalls selling scarfs and other items around the stadium. You can also purchase an official match program on the day outside the stadium for £3.50 and it is a recommended souvenir for the day.

As well as this, Chelsea and QPR aren't particularly favorites of home fans either so it is best to steer away from these too!One of the easiest places to purchase gear or kit from is the online shop on the Fulham website so that you are ready for match day but if you are looking for a memento then there are plenty of stalls selling scarfs and other items around the stadium. Craven Cottage is always filled on a match day which creates a great atmosphere for visiting fans. The nosiest area which is always filled with songs and chants is the Hammersmith End, but be aware that the higher up you sit, the more chance you have of getting a restricted view of the pitch. Away and neutral fans are always seated in the Putney End Stand, and whilst there are again restricted views in the higher rows you can always expect a loud atmosphere. The rows of seats here are made of metal and plywood and so be aware that some excited fans may stamp on them to create noisy encouragement for their team.Expect to hear plenty of songs about local rivals Chelsea at the game!

The Putney End is where both the away-only and the mixed fan seats are. There are food units, betting points and even TV screens there to help maximise the matchday experience. The Cottage has a noise and vibrant atmosphere with lots of chanting. If you're a Fulham fan, check online forums to get the lyrics right in advance!
