How do I get to Allianz Arena?

Allianz Arena is a venue in or near Munich that is most often used for Soccer

The Allianz is set about 10km away from the city centre, so it's going to be a bit far to walk it! There is of course great public transport links to the stadium. From Marienplatz Station in the city centre (as well as the other big train stations in the city) you can catch the Metro (U-Bahn) line 6, and go straight to Fröttmaning Station, and from there it is a really easy 10-minute walk to the Allianz – just follow the sea of shirts! There is parking available at the stadium as well, with a multi-storey garage with nearly 10,000 parking spaces – a space will cost you €15 for the match.

Car: The stadium is located right next to the highway A9, get off at "München-Fröttmaning-Süd”. Then, simply follow the "football” sign which will guide you directly to the parking facilities. The stadium may have 11,000 parking lots, but keep in mind that after a match there's almost 70,000 spectators who want to leave the venue. Usually, you'll be caught in traffic for about 1-2 hours. Metro: The far better option to get to the Allianz Arena. Simply hop onto the line U6 (blue line) towards "Garching-Forschungszentrum” which will directly take you to the venue. Get off at "München Fröttmaning” (football symbol). You can basically park your car all along this metro line (look out for the Park and Ride possibilities, P+R), so there's no need to park it right at the stadium.

Take the U-Bahn out to Fröttmanung on the U6 line from the city centre. In the middle of town you'll need to make a short connection from the main train station to get onto the U6 but there are plenty of options. Marienplatz is the obvious place to change lines. It should take around 45 minutes. For those arriving by car, you can access the stadium by the Munich ring road, as it is straight off junction E45. Parking is easy and costs €10 per car, which must be paid with the ArenaCard cashless system.
