Traffic around Yankee Stadium?

Yankee Stadium is the home of the New York Yankees and New York City FC. It is an outdoor ballpark primarily used for Major League Baseball games with a seating capacity of over 50,000 people. Yankee Stadium is located in the Bronx, about 15km drive from Midtown Manhattan. Construction on the stadium began in 2006, and to this day it is one of the most expensive stadiums ever built.

C'mon its New York City and the traffic is crazy all the time. I recommend staying around and listening to New York New York sung by Frank Sinatra after the game and just walking around rather than try to jump on the metro or sitting in a cab.

Don't bother driving into Yankee Stadium. Take a train that will get you to the Stadium about 45 mins before the game to avoid jam-packed trains and leave about 45 mins after to once again avoid jam-packed trains. Makes your experience a lot less stressful.

In short, avoid driving to the game at all costs. If you are driving, leave early, very early. If you arrive in the area 45 minutes before game time, you'll probably miss the first inning. Allow at least 90 minutes to park and get to your seats without having to worry.
