If you want to blend your trip into something a bit more well-rounded – or just want to continue breathing in the fresh Lancashire air – then there's an abundance of outdoor activities and walks. The Turbary Woods Owl and Bird of Prey Sanctuary performs flying displays with the birds, and the staff are exceptionally knowledgeable. There's also the Avenham and Miller parks, which are just exquisite: gorgeous gardens and views as far as the eye can see (or near enough!).

There are some fantastic days out to be had in the Preston area - If you are willing to take a bit of a drive, then make sure to stop at The Turbary Woods Owl Sanctuary. It's an amazing sanctuary where you can get up close and personal with some incredible birds of prey! There is also a Wild Boar Park as well!Preston is also home to an ancient Roman Village and Museum, somethings that is definitely worth checking out!
