"Jack Greene” is a European inspired burger bar/restaurant and is rated on Trip Advisor as the number 1 bar in Hobart. It specializes in craft beers and gourmet burgers and it's hard to argue against the Trip Advisor rating. It's right in the heart of Salamanca and very close to the Brooke Street Pier if you're getting the ferry to Blundstone Arena.
Hopefully you've got a few days to spare in Hobart (and Tasmania) as there's heaps to see. Port Arthur is a former penal settlement about 30-40 mins from the Hobart CBD. Maria Island and Wine Glass Bay are also on a well worn tourist driving route around Tasmania. If you're in the North of Tasmania, make sure you get to the Cradle Mountain National Park…it's something else.
Navigators Ferries depart from Brooke Street Pier and arrive direct to Bellerive Quay. It takes about 25-30 minutes and is a free service. Great, and different way to get to the ground and means avoiding all the traffic! There are park and ride options from various points in and around Hobart. Check out the MetroTas website for locations.
If standing on the hill like old times isn't your thing, reserve a seat in the new Southern Stand. You'll be protected from the wind off the bay behind and will have a great view of the ground.
