Best bars near Madison Square Garden?

Madison Square Garden, colloquially known as The Garden or in initials as MSG, is a multi-purpose indoor arena in New York City. Located in Midtown Manhattan between 7th and 8th Avenues from 31st to 33rd Streets, it is situated atop Pennsylvania Station.

The Blarney Block Pub on 137 W 33rd Street is just a three-minute walk from MSG yields this Rangers fan command post with plenty of screens for game-viewing and a rooftop bar stocked with all the standards. There are a lot of Blarneys in this town, but this one's probably the best.

Pennsylvania 6, 132 W 31st St, offers up an extensive collection of craft drafts and bottles, plus legitimately good food like beer-braised short ribs. And with giant projection screens, it's just like a regular sports bar but, like, times six!!

American Whiskey is enormous with a 150-deep whiskey list to match. Food like the lamb "lollipops” with grape pepper glaze and crushed pine nuts, and beef brisket burger sliders are kind of astonishingly delicious not only for this area, but generally.

There are a couple of good irish bars on 7th avenue that are alwaya good fun.Mustang sally's and mustang harry's. Both generally have a great atmosphere.

Pop into the Pennsy underneath the stadium - great vibe when we were there with fellow New York Rangers fans and cheap Bud Lights! Good food options there as well if you want a quik bite

The Pennsy right at the front of MSG is very good as well as Hooters which is about a 5 minute walk. You may think it is just a blokes place but there was quite a few people with there children in there when I visited. A good place to watch sport or for a drink and snack before entering MSG

'American whiskey' is a nice bar but as far as rooftop bars go, 'beer authority' is a good joint to check out!
