How do I get to Hillsborough Stadium?

Hillsborough Stadium is a venue in or near Sheffield that is most often used for Soccer

Being 3 miles from town, it's not the most accessible venue in the world, but you can make it work. Probably the simplest journey is to get the train into Sheffield Railway station (or walk there, if you live in Sheffield!) and catch a Supertram. They leave every ten minutes from the station, and take 30 minutes to arrive. Cost is £3.90 return. There are a few (unofficial) car parks along the A61 which you could use, or arrive super early for the limited parking available at the venue. You can also park right behind the stadium for £7 at the Wednesdayite car park.

The Train Station is over 3 miles from the stadium - and unless you fancy a pre-match jog, then the walk is probably going to take you an hour to walk! Luckily Sheffield has a handy 'Supertram' system, that makes Hillsborough more than accessible. If you take the yellow tram line to 'Leppings Lane', you should be at the ground within 35 minutes. A day ticket is going to cost you £4 - but that does mean you get unlimited use all day so you can use it to go and get some dinner after the game too. There is some car parking at the stadium - although it is severely limited and fairly expensive - The Wednesdayite car park as it's known costs £7 a day. Though if you want to beat the traffic - why not park in Meadowhall Shopping Center and jump on the tram (yellow line to Leppings Lane)
