They have lots of good Cuban joints around with Havana sandwiches which are to die for. Burrito's boarder is a good Latin place which has good burritos of course. They also have lots of Chick-fil-A, McDonalds, and Subway around.

The Rays don't give out much but you can usually score double of whatever they are giving out because no one comes to the games. They have bobblehead night of Longoria and then have t-shirt nights, Star Wars day with R2-D2 coolers.

There is plenty of parking for around $10-$15 and you can be within a few steps for around $25.

The Store is usually empty and you think they could charge cheaper prices but everything is overpriced and not that great.

Tampa Bay is very safe and full of retired people from colder states. This might be one of the reason the Field is empty because these folks are all in bed.

What to expect? Nothing! This is the worst stadium and has the worst fans in baseball. Even when they went to the World Series no one showed up. They have a real problem and most likely will be moving in the future.

The Field has Outback which is nice because getting a giant blooming onion or cheese fries is awesome!!! They also have Cubano sandwhiches, chicken fingers, fish tacos and lots of caribbean type drinks and smoothies.

The best insider tip is to pay for a cheap ticket up in the upper deck and then sit in the outfield or one of the lower levels because the stadium is practically empty every day. This is fun to sprawl out and have room to yourself.

Tropicana Field is located in downtown St. Petersburg and is right next to the I-275 interstate. The I-175 I-375 also allow easy access to the stadium.

The traffic around Tropicana Field gets a little busy on the freeways before games and right around the stadium in some of the garages but overall it runs pretty smoothly.

Like I said in the Insider Tip, there are seats everywhere so pay for a cheap seat in the upper deck and just never go up there. Go get some food and sit close.

You can check out Disney World which is a few hours away. There is the Bay and then beaches galore on the Gulf of Mexico side of Florida. There are also lots of clubs, the Everglades National Parks, fishing (both deep sea and local) and lots of parks and wildlife farms.

The Rays have nothing to so for itself other than their lone World Series Championship which they have put up a banner. The stadium is horribly designed and has nothing unique for the fans.
