How do I get to WWK ARENA?

WWK ARENA is a venue in or near Augsburg that is most often used for Soccer

Luckily you don't need to plan out some confusing journey to get to the stadium on a game day. The city put on special football trams that run from the main train station in town and take you straight to the football ground. The journey takes just 20 minutes and new trams leave every 5-10 minutes. An Added bonus is the fact that if you have a ticket for the game – the transport is free!If you are driving, I would recommend getting there early. There are a couple of car parks at the ground that you can use – but with only 1000 spaces, they do fill up rather quickly!

Right at the venue there are approximately 3,500 parking lots. However, it can get pretty busy right before and after a football game, sometimes it takes up to an hour to leave the lot. Plus, parking is 10€. That is why most fans get to the stadium by tram, the main tool of public transportation in Augsburg. From the central station get onto line 8 which will directly take you to the stadium (last station). Keep in mind, this line only operates on match days. For spectators already holding a ticket the ride is free and only takes about 20 minutes.

Augsburg is fairly close to Munich and well-served by road and rail. The stadium lies to the south of the city centre, right by the university, so public transport is the best option. The train goes to Augsburg-Messe station from the centre of town, but beware that this is still around half an hour on foot from the stadium. A better option is to take the tram - they put it on specially for the football. It's included in the price of a ticket - though nobody will check anyway in all likelihood, as only people going to the game will be on the tram - and departs from the Hauptbahnhof.
