What to expect from the Windsor Park crowd?

Windsor Park is a venue in or near Belfast that is most often used for Soccer

Unfortunately, Windsor Park is just a little too big for Linfield FC and 3 of the 4 stands tend to be entirely closed off during their home games. The North Stand is generally shared between home and away fans, totalling around 2-2,500 per game. When attendance is less than a fifth of the stadium capacity, it's never going to be a thriller. Even if it's an exciting game, the crowd just can't generate any noise. It is, unfortunately, a bit of a let-down compared to most other stadiums in British football.

The atmosphere at Windsor Park is always a great one, with Northern Ireland football fans getting more and more involved in recent years as their team does even better in international competition! This has prompted the stadium to be redeveloped increasing the capacity to 18,000! And when the national anthem starts being sung, there are few places in the country more atmospheric! The atmosphere is a lot different for Linfield FC, with a capacity of around 2,500 – it's a strange atmosphere to say the least!
