With Union Berlin having its own group of so called 'Ultras' present really helps to ramp up the volume during the games! The club has traditionally represented the hard-working classes of Berlin, and so they turn up in force most weeks to really show their support for the club! With flags waving, songs loudly being sung and flares being lit – it creates a hostile place for visiting teams to play in!

The atmosphere at ' Stadion an der Alten Försterei' is great! Simply put. Fans are super passionate and chant throughout the entire game. They will meet hours before the game, get together and prepare for the highly anticipated match. The stadium always nearly fills up entirely. Compared to other clubs Union Berlin probably has one of the best fan supports in the second Bundesliga. I get Goosebumps every time I visit.

Union Berlin fans would rank up with the very best in terms of passion. They bleed for their club - in fact, a fundraising blood drive was a major part of saving them from bankruptcy - not to mention building the Alten Försterei themselves. What the ground lacks in size and modernity it makes up for in noise, with the atmosphere routinely excellent. There can be issues with away supporters, as they have to walk right past the home fans en route from the station, but the cops will have it under control.
