What to expect from the Murrayfield crowd?

When Edinubrgh Rugby have a league match on, the crowd usually doesn't exceed a few thousand. At less than 10% of the capacity, the atmosphere can be quite underwhelming.However, when it's a Scotland game, everything is completely different. There is nothing but singing, chanting and a whole lot of roaring from the fans! They're also a friendly bunch, so you should be able to mingle easily with the home fans too.

The games played at Murrayfield are both internationals for the Scottish National Rugby team, as well as Edinburgh. As such, as you can imagine, the atmosphere is always electric! Scotland have always been more of a rugby nation with 6 Nations and International games always setting the city alight with anticipation, but in recent years Edinburgh have been getting better and better and competing more in Europe so Murrayfield is enjoying success both domestic and international. There are few places where the national anthem is sung with more feeling and passion and when 67,000 people start to sing 'Flower of Scotland'!
