You are in the heart of Germany, right next to the famous Black Forest – you should definitely try some traditional German food whilst you are in town. Both Goldener Anker and Hausbraueri specialise in German cuisine and both do it very very well – think Schnitzel beyond your wildest dreams! Their competition has meant that the quality of food just keeps getting better.From personal experience, I know that decent Mexican food is hard to find whilst travelling about, however in Freiburg, you won't have that problem. Yepa Yepa is a cracking restaurant that serves up plates of Nachos, sizzling Fajitas and stacked Burritos with aplomb!

My personal favorite to go and have dinner after an eventful match is called "La Playa Tapas & Co.”. As the name already tells you, you will be finding a great Spanish kitchen offering delicious Tapas and good red wine. Definitely worth a visit! It is only about 200m from the stadium. If you feel more like Italian food, there is a place called "San Marino” only about 600m away. Food is great, too.

The area around the stadium is residential but there certainly are options. Bratwurst and beer is never hard to come by near a German football stadium, but for something more substantial, Restaurant Schwarzwaldblick, just over from the Schwarzwald-Stadion, is a good option. Pizzeria San Marino is close to Römerhof tram stop too, serving Italian favourites.
