What to expect from the Firhill Stadium crowd?

Firhill Stadium is a venue in Glasgow

The crowd are a great laugh. Because it's quite an intimate venue (at least as football stadia go), there's more of a community and team feeling than usual. While there's usually good banter between the home and away fans, don't be an idiot and start provoking anyone, or you might have trouble where usually there is none. If you can decipher the Glaswegian accents, then have a go at joining in the chorus of some chants!

With a capacity of just over 10,000 seated fans, the atmosphere at Partick Thistle is hardly reminiscent of Celtic Park or Ibrox but the reduced capacity does mean that most of the fans that go to the ground are fervent Thistle fans! The fact that the South Stand is a little more than a small hill, also impacts the atmosphere a bit, with most of the noise escaping into Glasgow! Thistle have also introduced the Bayern Munich inspired chant of the tannoy system calling out the players first name whist the crowd boom out his surname after a goal is scored!
