Pearl Harbor and caught T-shirts….:

My father and I took a trip to Hawaii after my mother passed away.  It was a long time dream of his and mine having 2 relatives that died in the attack on Pearl Harbor all those years ago.  We opted to stay in Waikiki and took in all of the history with the Pearl Harbor Visitors Center and the USS Bowfin Memorial Park.  It’s hard to explain but it was exciting and solemn both at the same time.  We also toured the Bishop Museum.  My father is in a wheelchair most of the time but access in our activities was effortless and every venue was accommodating.  We arrived for a football game at the Aloha Stadium about 45 minutes before kickoff and were given handicap seating which was easily accessible, comfortable, and bonus – an awesome view of every aspect of the game.  I caught a T-shirt that was launched courtesy of Farmers Hawaii Supa Bowzooka which was an unexpected treat.  The game was super fun and winning was icing on the cake of a wonderful lifelong dream for me and my dad.
