Audi Sportpark is a venue in Ingolstadt

It is important to know that you can only use cash in the away section of the ground. If you want refreshments and you are sitting in the home sections, you will have to buy a Fancard from the club shops before the game. You can then top this up at the stadium and use this to get food and drinks.

Usually, I always recommend getting to any stadium by public transportation as it is easier and saves you a lot of time. However, the situation in Ingolstadt is a bit tricky as there are only shuttle buses operating from and to the stadium. Parking next to the stadium in one of the many living areas is easy and due to the small size of the venue itself there is never that much traffic after a match. The shuttle buses on the other side are usually very crowded and I've heard of away fans that had to wait 55 minutes to get from the stadium to Central Station.

The club anthem is one of the newest around - a recognition that the club only became anything worth singing about in 2004 - and is sung by Ingolstadt band Bonfire. It sounds like something you'd hear come 15th in the Eurovision Song Contest but Schanzer fans love it: though what they're meant to do with their scarves during the extended guitar solos, we're not that sure.
