Most of the pubs are closer to the city centre itself, with many of them ideally located overlooking the scenic Tangus River, which is an ideal spot especially when the weather is nice.

The Red Frog Speakeasy Bar is located on one of the best areas of Lisbon, right by the Tangus River. They celebrate the identity of their city in the form of creative cocktails and other mixed drinks. They take you back in time to different eras, such as the prohibition years of the 1920s or the revolutionary years of the 1970s. It is a great bar for socialising and there is always plenty of fun and laughter to be had. You will be hard pressed finding a better cocktail focused bar in Europe.

A Ginjinha is centrally located and you need to try it at least once when you are in Lisbon. It is a small place but you can drink outside, but this all adds to the experience. You can try the Lisbon specialty that is the bitter cherry liqueur and the family have run the bar for five generations. Both tourists and locals drink here so you know that they must be doing something right.

Whilst in Lisbon it would be rude not to go to a win bar as the city is famous for them, and there are plenty to choose from. Artis Bar is a popular spot that pairs good wines with some fantastic tapas style finger food for really affordable prices.

After the game, why not head to one of Lisbon’s more popular nightspots, Clube Da Esquina. With a great selection of draft beers and of course the fantastic caipirinha’s all twinned with some great DJ’s and love music, its a perfect place to party late at night.
