What to expect from the Palacio de Deportes de la Comunidad de Madrid crowd?

Assuming you’re there for a basketball game, the crowds are always excellent. It’s an indoor arena, so any noise you make is well amplified compared to an outdoor event – the superb acoustics inside the stadium mean that the noise turns into atmosphere, not an unpleasant distraction. The fans get 100% involved in the game, oooh-ing and aaaah-ing as the game ebbs and flows towards a climax – they’re a fun crowd, and you could do a lot worse than joining their ranks.

Depending on the event, the venue can be very crowded. The good new is there are several doors to go inside, so you don’t have to wait a long queue most of the times. It’s better if you enter through the door in Jorge Juan street or Fuente el Berro street than through Felipe II Avenue (the main one). After the event, be patient because as you expect, everyone will want to go out at the same time!
