It was a beautiful Friday Evening, perfect for a football game. my family had gone down to Florida last year to visit some family, and they treated us to an old-fashioned football game – not to mention, my father was a hard core fan of any football game. He loved the thrill of it. This game was between the Dolphins and the Bills. We had pretty close seats, and it was very easy to feel the excitement and anticipation all around the arena. My personal pick was of course the home team. To be honest, this was my first time sitting so closely in a football game, as a matter of fact, it was my first time at a football game completely! i had gone to baseball games, basketball games, but never football games in person. It was that event that I had always watched on TV. I remember one Super Bowl season that I had put on my Bucket List that I wanted to go to on… and here I was by chance.
The first thing that caught my attention was the old look the inside had to it…made me start thinking about how long this stadium had been around, and reading one of the pamphlets given – I learned that the stadium had been built in the 1980’s! The next thing that caught my attention was the music that was playing. It was really upbeat and catchy, and you could see everyone doing their little gig or dance by their seat with their friends and family. It was fun to see, and it was then I knew we were going to have a fun night.
The players came out and the game began, there were the usual “ooo’s” and “close ones”, each fan chanting their own feelings towards the game and how their respective team was playing. I can’t remember what the score was, but I know that the Dolphins won. I know my dad was a Bills fan, and it kind of disappointed him, but either way, for it being my first time at a football game, and that experience being at SunLife Stadium, I have to say, it was a good one.
