If you have bought yourself a ticket for the game in advance – you don't have to worry about paying for the tram ticket! For 4 hours before kick-off and 4 hours after the final whistle, your ticket also acts as a transport pass! More money to spend on beer!

In case you're trying to prevent visiting a game in the cold season (November, December) you should consider doing exactly that in Nuremberg. This is the time of the world famous "Nuremberg Christmas Market” which always takes place around that time. Glühwein, Bratwurst and football? Sounds like a great combination to me. Especially, when after a game everybody goes on a pilgrimage to this very spot. After home games the place may be busy, but there's always the chance to chat about football. I've done it before and will definitely do it again this winter.

If you want to ingratiate yourselves with the locals, then never call the Stadion Nürnberg by that name. There have been a litany of sponsors' names, plus the generic Frankenstadion and the now slightly dull name, none of which have gained popular approval. Fans have been campaigning for years to change the name to the Max-Morlock-Stadion in honour of Nürnberg's greatest ever player. There was a vote in 2006 to name the ground after him, but the city of Nürnberg instead sold the rights to a bank, though the stadium's address is still Max-Morlock-Platz.
