Best Pubs around Deepdale?

Deepdale is a venue in or near Preston that is most often used for Soccer

It's a sad repetition of a lot of grounds, but there aren't very many pubs in town suitable for visiting fans. There's Sumners which has positive reviews from everyone, but if it's a rival game then you'll be refused entry.Unusually, there are a lot of local 'clubs' which open their doors to visiting fans for weekend and weekday matches! Fulwood Conservative Club, St Gregory's Catholic Club and Frenchwood Social Club all welcome away fans and serve good beer and maybe some food. Worth checking out, though Frenchwood is about 25 minutes' walk from the stadium.

On the corner of Deepdale Road and Watling Street, you will find the most popular fans among away supporters - The Sumners - which has a good atmosphere as well as a lovely beer garden that opens in the summer. You will have to pay £3 for parking but fear not as this can be redeemed for a purchase at the bar! There are a few working and social clubs near the ground that admit away fans - but if you are really wanting a pub - try the Vic and Station - it's nothing special but the fact that its dead close to the station is a big plus!If you're a discerning Preston fan and want a pub to discuss tactics in before the game - then head on down to the Withy Trees.

There aren't a tonne of great options for drinking before a Preston Game. The away pub that everyone seems to gravitate to is the Sumners - it opens up nice and early on match days (11 am) and in the summer it has a great beer garden for everyone to enjoy - but do get there early if you want to grab a seat. There are a few other social clubs and working mens clubs that open their doors on a match day - however the atmosphere in these places isn't reputed to be the best. For the discerning supporter who wants to talk tactics rather than sing songs - head on down to the Withy Trees and impersonate the manager!
