There aren’t really bars within walking distance so you’ll need to drive a few miles into Carytown where you’ll find numerous options. Social52 is a popular hangout serving up a full service bar, wine, a great beer selection, and happy hour specials. Also highly recommended is the food – they do serve breakfast/brunch. Their Mac-n-Cheetos, fresh sweet potato fries, fried Brussel sprouts, and shrimp. Here’s something unique: A Bloody Mary Cart. Commercial Taphouse has about 20-25 local beers on tap that they rotate and are very reasonably priced. The staff knows their stuff when it comes to beer so they are good for recommendations if you don’t know what to order. Their food is spectacular with the typical wings and burgers but also some Asian flair. The Ramen Fried Chicken sandwich is a must. Great ambiance and TV’s everywhere.
