Vitoria FC have been a stalwart in Portugal's top division since their promotion following the 2004 season and have settled nicely in their new surroundings. This has brought increased prosperity to the club but the mid table standings don't offer much in terms of excitement for the fans. There is never a realistic shot at the title or European competition and they are normally too good to the threatened by relegation. As such, the real rowdy atmospheres tend to die out towards the end of the year – so if you can pick, choose to go at the start of the season where hope still reigns!
