Right by the venue you've got both the Old Crown and the Park. Both thriving hot spots for home fans, you're best to get in there early if you want to get served promptly, and very early if you hope to grab yourself a couple seats!Described as a "proper pub” by some away fans, the New Barrack Tavern is warm, friendly and sells top quality ales and beers. There are a few other choices en route from town to the stadium, but it's more of a "see what you think” as you go kind of thing; New Barrack is the top dog for me.

In the area around Hillsborough there are a couple of pubs - The Park and the Old Crown - however these are pumping Wednesday pubs and they come with a fantastic atmosphere (if you are a home fan that is)For away fans there are a few options - The Rawson Springs is a classic Wetherspoons pub and The New Barrack Tavern is a grand pub that serves real ales. Both pubs admit away fans in small numbers but you may have a tough time getting in if there is a big group of you.If you are coming from the city center itself - then pop into The Old Queens Head - its a medieval building with plenty of character and plenty of beers.
