There are a few options. The train is a good one: Sunderland Railway Station is about 15 minutes' walk away and you can just follow the other fans, so you won't get lost. The metro takes you to "Stadium of Light” station (ideal for home fans) and "St Peters”, which is good for away supporters as it's closer to their entrance. There's some parking in the area too, but a better bet might be using the free "Park and Ride” service from Sunderland Enterprise Park. Dump your car and get a lift there and back!

Parking in the area around the Stadium of Light is really limited with permits often being required - police are pretty strict about this especially on game days so be careful!A lot of fans take advantage of Sunderland's park and ride scheme - just park up at Sunderland's Enterprise Park and hop on the bus. Buses run every 5 minutes, opens 2 hours before kickoff and runs until everyone is back at their cars.The Tyne and Wear Metro service is pretty handy and lots use it to travel to the match, fans have the choice of arriving at either St. Peter's Station or Stadium of Light Station with a ticket costing £1.50. Sunderland Train station is also very close - a 10 minute walk from the stadium.
